Thanks to the European Social Fund support the project “Social pedagogues and class teachers professional competence promotion “  is being realized.

The project is being realized by   Daugavpils Secondary School No.17.

Our partners:

·      Latvian University Latgale branch,

·       Daugavpils  University.

The main aim of this project is to increase the professional competence of the class teachers and social pedagogues working in schools.

The LU and DU lecturers develop and realize 120 hours programme (A1 level) of courses for teachers “The social pedagogues and class teachers professional competence promotion ”.

The home page “Social work in school” is being created for teachers and social pedagogues cooperation, for getting information, for experience exchanging between Latvian schools and regions.

All measures joined include not only many teachers but also state and instate employees, self- administration employees and others.

The book for social pedagogues and class teachers is being created in the context of this project.

This book is about the work with students and parents. It will be created on CD too.

It will give a possibility to pass knowledge to the others.

The informative booklet in Russian and Latvian will be created for students and parents. They will find all necessary information in it.

The methodological materials, which will be developed during the work, will be placed in the methodological centre in Daugavpils Secondary School No. 17.

Two supporting seminars for Daugavpils region social pedagogues and class teachers will inform teachers about the project, will get acquainted with results of the project possibilities to participate in the measures, to use the home page.

Project realization: 08/2006- 07/2007

·        Courses for social pedagogues and class teachers.

·        The home page “Social work in school” (is  being developed).

·        The booklet of the project (is being developed).

·        Students;

·        State institutions and self - administration.

The project realization falls in different directions, the work is divided into components. The partners connected with the project are responsible for realization.
